One of the items on the agenda of the October session of the Bolesławiec County Council was a vote on a draft resolution concerning the remuneration of the Bolesławiec county governor Tomasz Gabrysiak.
The Council was practically unanimous: 15 councillors voted in favour. Only the person concerned abstained.
How much will the county governor earn now?
The current remuneration of the head of the Bolesławiec County Board consists of:
- base salary: PLN 10,950
- functional allowance: PLN 3,650
- special allowance (specified by the relevant regulation of the Council of Ministers).
The justification for the resolution states:
Following the entry into force of the Council of Ministers’ regulation of 15 September 2025 amending the regulation on the remuneration of local-government employees (Journal of Laws of 2025, item 1260), the maximum level of the base salary and the maximum level of the functional allowance for local-government employees appointed through election have changed. The amendments apply to remuneration and allowances due from 1 July 2025.
In view of the above regulations, as well as the many years without changes to the remuneration of the group of local-government employees appointed through election, an increase in the remuneration of the Chairman of the Bolesławiec County Board—the Bolesławiec county governor—is justified.
