Information reached our editorial office from several sources that pupils at one of the primary schools in Boleslawiec are sending one another nude photos. The photos allegedly show a teacher from their school. The teacher notified the police, and the pupils gave statements to the police.

A post informing about the situation was published on the istotne.pl forum several days ago.

Will anyone finally respond to what is happening at Primary School (…) in Boleslawiec? Nude photos of a teacher (…) are circulating among pupils in grades 7–8. The children claim that he himself sent them to one of the pupils. The matter has already been reported to the police, pupils are being called in for questioning, and despite this, the teacher is still conducting classes! How is it possible that the school administration has not suspended him, even temporarily, and has not informed the education authorities about the matter? Does children’s safety really mean nothing? The school principal (…) is responsible for the fact that pupils still have contact with a person against whom proceedings are underway. This is a scandalous situation in which children and parents are suffering while institutions remain silent.

As we have established, proceedings are not being conducted against the teacher. The police are carrying out activities in connection with the distribution of the photos. The first witnesses have already been questioned.

Here is the school principal’s statement.

In connection with the information received concerning pupils’ distribution of nude photos allegedly depicting one of the school’s teachers, I clarify as follows:

Before taking up employment, the teacher employed at the school submitted a certificate of no criminal record from the National Criminal Register. In addition, in accordance with the applicable law, the principal checked the employee in the sex offenders register, which showed that the person in question was not listed there. Before commencing work, the teacher was informed of and required to comply with the child protection standards in force at the school, which he confirmed in an appropriate statement.

Furthermore, the principal investigated the matter, which resulted in a notification being submitted to the law enforcement authorities on 19 September 2025 concerning the possibility that an offence had been committed. On the same day, the teacher separately filed a private notification. The proceedings are currently under consideration. At the same time, the school took steps to safeguard the pupils’ psychological well-being by arranging discussions between the school psychologist and counsellor and the pupils who had seen or been sent the photos. In addition, pupils in Classes VII and VIII took part in lessons on threats in cyberspace, including elements concerning minors’ responsibility for distributing unverified or false content.
