On Monday evening, the Old Theatre in Bolesławiec hosted the ceremonial Gala “Best Vocational Teacher 2025,” organized by Bolesławiec County and the Guild of Crafts and Small Business in Bolesławiec.
The event, which has for years been an important fixture in the local vocational education calendar, brought together numerous guests, representatives of local authorities, craft organizations and the educational community.
The official welcome was delivered by the event’s hosts – Guild Senior Grażyna Matczak and Bolesławiec County Head Tomasz Gabrysiak, who emphasized the important role played by craftspeople—vocational teachers—in shaping young professionals.
The “Best Vocational Teacher” competition has been held continuously since 2007. Its aim is to recognize craft businesses that take exceptional care over the quality of practical training and compliance with labor law regarding the employment of young workers. This year, out of 204 vocational teachers, the jury selected 12 nominees whose candidacies it considered particularly worthy of honor.
The nominees were:
Mirosław Seneszyn, Andrzej Deberny, Mateusz Klich, Grzegorz Orawiec, Justyna Szkutnik, Anna Jamrozik, Patryk Rapacki, Jacek, Michał and Wojciech Domowicz, Antonina Kopała, Beata Wilisowska, Elżbieta and Krzysztof Świeboda, and Marcin Skrzypacz.
The gala also traditionally welcomed new members of the Bolesławiec Guild. The artistic segment featured the EMEMEMSY group from the Stanisław Wyspiański Youth Cultural Center in Bolesławiec.
The evening’s highlight was the announcement of the winners of the Best Vocational Teacher 2025 title. The awards were presented by the gala hosts and representatives of local authorities and craft organizations, including Lower Silesian Deputy Voivode Artur Jurkowski, Deputy Chair of the Lower Silesian Regional Assembly Cezary Przybylski and President of the Lower Silesian Chamber of Crafts Zbigniew Ładziński.
Winners of the “Best Vocational Teacher 2025” competition
1st place – Mirosław Seneszyn, training students in the professions of motor vehicle mechanic and electromechanic;
