As reported by the German operator of the A4 motorway, on 1 October 2025, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the Königshainer Berge tunnel will be completely closed in both directions.
The reason? Maintenance work.
The German road authorities add that during this time, signposted diversion routes will be in effect on request: from the Nieder Seifersdorf junction to the Kodersdorf junction and in the opposite direction.
The Königshainer Berge tunnel is a large road tunnel in Germany, forming part of the A4 motorway in Saxony, near Görlitz, running beneath the Königshainer Berge mountain range.
