In the 8th round of the Jelenia Góra regional league, BKS drew 1:1 with Orzeł Mysłakowice at Spółdzielcza. Saturday’s match was played in 30-degree heat.
In the 13th minute, the visitors took the lead. They scored in two attempts. After a shot towards the BKS goal, the ball bounced off the post, and unmarked Mateusz Zatylny reached it first, making it 1:0 to the visitors. The score did not change before the end of the first half.
At the beginning of the second half, Kacper Gałka had to leave the field after receiving a second yellow card, which ultimately meant a red card. From that moment, BKS played with ten men, but, interestingly, the hosts’ play looked better than in the first half. As time passed, the players increasingly ran out of energy because of the continuing heat.
The hosts coped better with the demands of the match and attacked more boldly. Towards the end of the match, an Orzeł player was also shown a second yellow card, ultimately resulting in a red card. BKS fought ambitiously until the final whistle and, in stoppage time, Filip Zagórski equalised and simultaneously set the final score.
BKS Bolesławiec – Orzeł Mysłakowice 1:1 (0:1).
Saturday’s match did not attract many fans. This is hardly surprising given our team’s recent results... Let’s hope Saturday’s draw will be the beginning of more effective play, enabling the team from Spółdzielcza to finally start earning points.
During Saturday’s match, one of the fans suggested that matches at the new stadium are badly missing a stadium announcer. The announcer would not have to comment continuously on events on the field. It would be enough to read out the line-ups, announce the scorers and substitutions... In the fan’s opinion, an announcer’s presence would positively affect how spectators at the stadium experience the match. Do you agree?
