Aneta Cieśla’s adventure with bowls began quite innocently—with yoga retreats during which concerts featuring instruments with natural sounds were an inseparable element.

“Even then, I could feel how music affects the body, but the real breakthrough came when I encountered a crystal bowl,” the doctor recalls. “A friend brought it to one of our women’s gatherings. When I struck the bowl and heard the first sound, I fell in love immediately. It was like a longing that suddenly heralds new possibilities. I already knew that I wanted to hear that sound all the time,” recalls Aneta Cieśla.

“The next day, without waiting long, I called a musical-instrument store and wanted to buy my own bowl. The selection surprised me, though—there were as many as seven types! Of course, I couldn’t decide, so I bought them all. At first, I played only for myself, my family and my closest friends, but I soon wanted to expand my collection with more instruments.”

From fascination to learning and planetary sounds

I ordered my first gong from Mr. Mugel in Portugal. He forged it especially for me as a planetary Saturn gong, with a frequency of 147.85 Hz corresponding to the vibration of that planet. This sound not only creates remarkable harmony but is also said to have a healing effect on the bones, teeth, muscles, tendons and even the pituitary gland, and therefore—indirectly—on the entire hormonal system.

“However, I wanted to know more, so I set off for training in playing bowls and gongs. I met Ms Małgorzata Kronenberger, a doctor of music with perfect pitch, and I am still learning from her today. It is an incredible feeling to discover successive levels of initiation and learn how to use these sounds to improve health, relax and create music that truly soothes the soul.”

What are the concerts like?

When I play instruments for others, I see how deeply music can affect them. Some fall asleep during the performance, others drift into a world of imagination, while still others simply absorb the sounds as they relax. This joy and emotion drive me to share it ever more widely. When I play, I myself drift into an inner world and allow the music to guide me through the concert.

“I do not plan the order of the instruments—the moment and the energy of the people determine it. The only limitation is time, because an hour-long concert passes in the blink of an eye!”

My other side—medicine and natural methods

“Professionally, I am a doctor, and for a long time I was afraid of how those around me would perceive my new passion. During the first few years, I played only for my family, but over time I decided to show the public my other self. My friends know that I have many interests.”

“In October last year, I passed the state examination to become a naturopath, and today at work I combine academic knowledge with natural methods. I use, among other things, acupuncture, and sometimes, when a patient is lying in the dental chair, I also apply acupuncture needles.”

“For me, the bowls themselves are a way to regenerate every day. Sometimes I come home from work exhausted, and a few minutes of playing restores my energy, both physically and mentally. It really works phenomenally.”

Sound, the body and relaxation—why do I want to share this?

“An old saying goes that music soothes manners, and I believe it also calms the brain and body. We are made up of atoms, and our organism communicates with the world not only through words but also through vibration. For me, playing natural instruments at specific frequencies—known as Solfeggio frequencies—is a way to reach true, primordial harmony:”

  • 174 Hz—pain reduction
  • 285 Hz—regeneration
  • 417 Hz—cleansing
  • 528 Hz—the vibration of love and DNA activation
  • 432 Hz—the frequency of NATURE, bringing comfort and peace

“I do this because I want to remind people, in a world full of haste, competition and tension, that life is beautiful. After concerts, I see it with my own eyes: people leave transformed, their gaze becomes joyful, gentle and happy…”

“I know that today we live in a constant rush, but even an hour-long concert can bring extraordinary rest. Our nervous system can finally relax, and the vagus nerve, responsible for digestion and relaxation, becomes activated. I want to teach people that there are such simple ways to improve well-being: all you need to do is bring a mat and a blanket, lie down, let yourself be carried away by the sounds, and the music and the wisdom of the body will take care of the rest.”
