Several shapes of a male member were burned into the grass on the Cement Raciborowice pitch using Roundup. One shape is very large, while the others are smaller. The club estimates the losses at PLN 10,000.
– I am deeply wondering who could be so messed up in the head as to commit such an act – comments Marcin Pitera, president of the GKS Raciborowice association, Marcin Pitera to Muzyczne Radio. – Such behavior gives me even more fuel to achieve the success I have set my sights on as quickly as possible – the president adds.
The pitch at Cement Raciborowice was the apple of the association’s eye. The club’s board always emphasized that it had the only natural-grass pitch in the municipality. For this reason, it did not agree to additional training sessions there for children from football clubs in the surrounding villages. The association justified its decision by explaining that it spent around PLN 50,000 a year on various treatments aimed at maintaining the grass in optimal condition.
Members of the association are calling for the perpetrator or perpetrators to be found. The matter has been reported to the police.

Someone destroyed our pitch, the heart of the stadium – the home of footballers and children dreaming of a great career. This is an act of pure vandalism and contempt for sport. 🚫⚽
