At the August session of the city council, the final (hopefully) concept for developing the sports section of the Water and Sports Centre on Spacerowa Street in Bolesławiec was presented. This is the so-called second stage of developing the site. The centre’s aquatic section has already been partially developed.
A Water Park (new swimming pools) has been built there. By 2027, it is also to be supplemented with a complex of seven water slides. The slides will have three levels, at heights of 6, 9 and 12 metres.
The sports section is to be completed within 22 months of the date the contract is signed (the contract has not yet been signed).
According to the current development concept presented at the latest city council session, the following will be built there:
- two full-size pitches with artificial turf. One will be intended for matches and the other for training. Both will have lighting. There will also be portable stands, ball-stop nets, players’ benches and a sound system,
- a facilities building for the pitches with changing rooms and toilets, as well as a two-storey building with changing rooms, sanitary facilities, toilets, office and conference areas, a technical room, a ticket office and equipment rental,
- four beach volleyball courts,
- a multifunctional court with stands, where basketball and volleyball can be played,
- a new event shelter with facilities for organising events,
- a renovated amphitheatre,
- a tennis court with an acrylic surface.
