In May this year, we reported that Bolesławiec would have a women’s team in the IV Lower Silesian Senior Women’s League. Today, we can report that the women’s team of KS Kolonia Bolesławiec has entered the competition and has already played its first match.

The match was played on Saturday, 6 September, at the venue in Warta Bolesławiecka. The opponents of the Bolesławiec team were Nysa Kłaczyna.

The match ended in a 1–2 (1–1) defeat for our team, but, as they say, every beginning is difficult.

KS Kolonia’s goal was scored by Anna Borowska (33rd minute).

Nysa’s goals: Aleksandra Orszulak (9th minute) and Martyna Maliborska (49th minute).

In the second round of matches (14 September), KS Kolonia Bolesławiec will play away against Płomień Krośnice.

In the following rounds, the Bolesławiec team will face Lower Silesian clubs including Śląsk II Wrocław, Miedź Legnica, Polonia Świdnica and Lechia Dzierżoniów.

As we read on KS Kolonia Bolesławiec’s social media:

The first league match is behind our senior team

In our debut, we lost 1–2 to Nysa Kłaczyna.

The early goal conceded (9th minute) greatly energized our team, which dominated play until the end of the first half, capped by Ania Borowska’s goal in the 33rd minute. The score at half-time should have been significantly higher, but the debut nerves of the Kolonia players were apparent when finishing their attacks. A moment of déconcentration just after the start of the second half cost us a second goal, scored by the opponents from a penalty.

We are proud of Our Girls, who, especially in the first half, displayed a great deal of footballing quality—particularly in opening up and building play.
The players showed the large crowd a new face of football, one that we had not seen in our area before, and the match featured many interesting duels, well-constructed attacks and goal-scoring opportunities.

Thank you, Girls
