The District Middle School Football Championships are now behind us. On Wednesday, 27 April, the final matches of the competition were played. In the girls’ category, the team from Nowogrodziec proved to be the best, playing in the following lineup: Justyna Dziwisz, Diana Forster, Nicola Zazulak, Klaudia Cierlik, Agnieszka Nowak, Malwina Kryjak, Marta Strojek, Gabriela Sawko, Patrycja Borna and Agata Wołoszyn. The team’s coach is Dariusz Wojtowicz. The footballers from Osiecznica came second, while representatives of the Middle School in Iwiny took third place.
In the boys’ category, the district championship was won by the players from GS No. 3 in Bolesławiec, who competed in the following lineup: Aleksander Pyrka, Rafał Mrozik, Kamil Korczowski, Dariusz Paleń, Oskar Ilczyna, Damian Widera, Dawid Muniak, Amadeusz Skokun, Norbert Garbacz and Kamil Mikietiuk. The team’s coach is Piotr Bajer. The team from Osiecznica took second place, while the representatives of the Middle School in Nowa Wieś came third.
Both championship teams advanced to the zone-level competition. The event was organized by the Inter-School Sports Centre, operating within the structures of the District Centre for Education and Staff Training.
