At the 90th kilometre of the A4 motorway, a serious road accident occurred – a heavy goods vehicle veered off the road and overturned. An unconscious, injured driver was inside the cab.
Until the local emergency services arrived, Senior Section Commander Piotr Górz directed the rescue operation, which was also actively supported by bystanders.
Under his coordination, the scene was secured, an initial trauma assessment was carried out, and the casualty was extracted from the wrecked cab. Throughout this time, the casualty remained under the firefighter’s constant medical supervision.
The scene, command of the operation and the casualty were handed over to the crews from JRG No. 1 in Legnica, who arrived at the scene.
