Police officers patrol the roads of the county every day and check whether road users comply with the regulations. Speed is one of the factors affecting road safety and is a frequent cause of various road incidents.
The Bolesławiec traffic police stopped a vehicle for inspection after its driver was travelling at high speed where the limit was 40 km/h. The resident of Bolesławiec County was driving at more than 100 km/h.
The driver was fined PLN 2,000 and received 14 penalty points.
The police appeal to drivers to observe the permitted speed limits and to slow down in places where the regulations and common sense require particular caution.
