The incident occurred on one of the streets of Zgorzelec. Traffic Department officers working at the scene determined that the 26-year-old, riding a KTM motorcycle, failed to maintain a safe distance from the BMW vehicle in front and struck its rear. Unfortunately, the injured motorcyclist was taken to hospital.
Police appeal to all two-wheeled vehicle users to exercise caution on the road.
Let us remember that a motorcycle does not forgive mistakes. One of the most important elements protecting a motorcyclist’s life and health is a helmet, which significantly reduces the risk of serious injuries, protects the rider in a collision or fall even at low speed, and is mandatory.
