The incident occurred on 21 August, before 7:00 p.m., at the A4–A18 motorway junction. Three vehicles collided there: a Fiat van driven by a 55-year-old resident of Wrocław and two trucks.
As established by officers from Bolesławiec:
Due to a traffic jam forming on the road, the Fiat driver, wanting to avoid hitting the truck travelling ahead of him, changed lanes but struck the rear left corner of the trailer attached to a DAF truck driven by a 38-year-old Belarusian citizen.
The impact was so strong that the van hit another truck, driven by a 49-year-old Lithuanian.
Fortunately, no one suffered any serious injuries. The resident of Wrocław received a PLN 1,100 fine.
Officers appeal for prudence and caution on the road.
