On 29 July 2025, inspectors from ITD were assigned to support the services’ operations following a road incident on the 179th kilometre of the national A4 road – the Brzezimierz interchange, in the direction of Wrocław. Road Transport Inspection: – At the scene, the inspectors found an overturned heavy goods vehicle and the container it was carrying. The container was also lying on its side, and its cargo—paper and waste paper—had fallen out.
For reasons not yet established, the driver of the heavy goods vehicle with a trailer hit the crash barriers while navigating a bend.
ITD: – During the activities, digital data concerning the vehicle’s speed was downloaded from the tachograph. It was established, among other things, that the trailer’s technical inspections had expired in June this year. In addition, the vehicle did not contain an extract from the certificate for road transport for own-account purposes.
It also concludes: – In connection with the irregularities identified, explanatory proceedings were initiated against the entity. The registration certificates of both vehicles involved in the collision were also seized because of the serious damage.
The driver was fined.
