Wave of illegal migration: more than 40 people detained for human smuggling. How many were forcibly deported?

As reported by the Nadodrzański Border Guard Unit:

In connection with intensive efforts aimed at preventing illegal migration, officers of the Nadodrzański Border Guard Unit have detained more than 40 people since the beginning of 2025 who were charged with organizing the illegal crossing of the state border or aiding and abetting this crime.

They were primarily Ukrainian citizens, but also Poles and Latvians. The Border Guard said: “The stated offenses are punishable by up to 8 years in prison.

How many foreigners were forcibly deported?

The officers said: “Since the beginning of 2025, officers of the Nadodrzański Border Guard Unit have detained and forcibly deported to their countries of origin 160 foreigners posing a threat to security and public order in our country. They were primarily citizens of Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova.
