The outage occurred on Friday after 8:00 p.m. There was no signal throughout the city. As usual in such cases, no one answered the telephone at the headquarters of the “Azart-Sat” cable television service. Instead, an answering machine came on and informed callers that there was no space left to record a message.
As we learned, the power was switched off as a precaution in some parts of the city. The streets of Cicha, Jana Pawła, Jeleniogórska, Łukaszewicza, Mikołaja Brody, Piastów, Targowa, Tyrankiewiczów and Zygmunta Augusta were without electricity. This may have caused the loss of the cable television signal, although the network should be protected against power outages and operate on backup power.
The “Azart-Sat” cable television service reaches approximately 6,000 households.
