The Diversity March will take place in Legnica, and Jacek Głomb of KOD, director of the H. Modrzejewska Theatre in Legnica, is inviting people to attend.
On Sunday, 10 August at 4:00 p.m., at the beginning of Złotoryjska Street (by the Market Square).
– Unfortunately, there are irresponsible political forces in Poland that build their political capital on the basest instincts and do not hesitate to awaken demons in people, as if history had not already shown many times that this is a path leading entire nations and civilizations into an abyss – says Jacek Głomb, chairman of KOD Legnica and director of the Legnica Theatre.
– In response to this wave of xenophobia and hatred, KOD Legnica is organizing a DIVERSITY MARCH on 10 August. We particularly invite those who feel disregarded, threatened or even persecuted: LGBT+ people, foreigners, people with disabilities, and anyone who would like to use their presence to protest against a homogenized Poland, closed off from the world, hostile towards it and focused solely on itself. We also invite all people of goodwill for whom the traditions of Polish hospitality and tolerance, contact with and openness towards other people are important; those who see potential and richness in diversity rather than a threat. Everyone who would like to live in an atmosphere of understanding, trust and mutual kindness is welcome – the activist invites.
