A disturbing incident occurred on July 13, between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., in front of the entrance to one of the apartment blocks. An eight-year-old boy was bitten by a German Shepherd. The injured child’s mother contacted our editorial office asking for help publicizing the case.

According to the mother’s account, the animal knocked the boy over and then bit him. Although the dog was on a leash, its owner did not react to the attack or ask about the child’s condition.

The boy’s mother is appealing for urgent contact with the owner of the dog and with anyone who witnessed the incident and might be able to help. A notice including a contact number (...) has been posted in the stairwell of the block where the bite occurred.

“I would simply like to find out whether the dog has been vaccinated, so that my son can avoid having to be vaccinated against rabies,” says the mother, adding that she also wants to warn residents of Bolesławiec and the surrounding area about the dog that attacked her son. She emphasizes that the woman being sought is not a resident of the block, but a visitor.

The boy’s mother informed us that the case has already been reported to the sanitary authorities and the police.
