Due to intensified checks on the A4, the access road to the border crossing in Jędrzychowice, road transport inspectors had already checked more than 200 vehicles by Sunday. The Inspectorate: – The last weekend also brought a few “interesting” checks.
On Saturday, at approximately 4:50 p.m., a delivery van with a permissible maximum gross weight of 2.5–3.5 tonnes was stopped for inspection at kilometre 18 of the A4 motorway towards the Jędrzychowice border crossing. The office: – The Ukrainian driver was carrying out international road transport of goods from Poland to Germany. During the inspection, among other things, he presented a Polish driving licence. In the course of the proceedings, it was established that the document presented was not listed in the CEPiK database.

The information that the document was not listed in the database was confirmed by telephone at the GITD command post. Due to the suspicion that the driver had presented a false document authorising him to drive a vehicle, the Police from KPP Bolesławca were called.

On Sunday, at approximately 3:40 p.m., an attempt was made to stop a vehicle combination at kilometre 20 of the A4 motorway towards Zgorzelec. Wrocław Road Transport Inspection:
When the marked Road Transport Inspection vehicle, which was sending light signals, passed him, the driver moved onto the emergency lane and stopped the vehicle. The driver explained that he had stopped because of a vehicle breakdown.
After confirming that the vehicle could be driven, the driver was instructed to follow the inspection vehicle to a checkpoint, where an inspection was carried out. Inspectors: – During the inspection activities, analysis of data from the digital tachograph established that, after stopping on the motorway, the driver logged out another person’s card, which he had been using, and logged in his own. Consequently, it was revealed that the driver had been using a driver card that did not belong to him.
That was not the end of it. The Road Transport Inspection: – Furthermore, he was driving during the period when a traffic ban on certain types of vehicles was in force on the roads, which, as established, also applied to the inspected vehicle combination.
For the violations committed, the driver was fined, and administrative proceedings were initiated against the carrier for whom he was carrying out the transport.
