Update

Poczta Polska Press Office:

(…) due to the lack of identifying data—shipment numbers and recipients’ details, which you mention—we are unable to verify these reports in detail. If you have such data, please send it to us. We will forward it to the department supervising the indicated area so that an explanatory investigation can be conducted.

We would like to inform you that, unfortunately, temporary difficulties may have recently occurred in the handling of deliveries in the area served by the post office in Nowogrodziec, related, among other things, to higher-than-standard sick leave among post carriers.

To improve the correspondence delivery process, post carriers are currently being transferred from other offices as part of substitute service for the districts; additional recruitment has also been launched in this employee group. Thanks to these measures, the situation has improved significantly. We apologize to our Customers for any inconvenience.

At the same time, we would like to emphasize that, after analyzing the other comments submitted by your reader, no evidence was found that the situations described had occurred. At the Nowogrodziec office, all employees serving Customers are authorized to sell Bank Pocztowy services, so access to these services is not subject to restrictions. Regarding priority stamps, we explain that there was a time when the employee had only so-called combined stamps for priority shipments, but there was never a situation in which there were not enough stamps to meet Customers’ needs.

In addition, we inform you that if there are concerns about the reliability with which Poczta Polska employees perform their duties, a Customer can always contact our company for clarification. The company also has tools enabling oversight of the area served by post carriers, including through the capabilities of applications and systems used within the company, such as analysis of the time a post carrier spends in a particular location. Complaints can be submitted in person at any post office or by completing the form on the eReklamacje | ereklamacje.poczta-polska.pl.

A Reader wrote to us: — What is happening with Poczta Polska in Nowogrodziec? This office has never operated well, but now things have gone beyond all limits. None of it works. ZUS sent me two letters; two months have passed and they have not arrived. Employees from ZUS call asking whether, by some miracle, I received the letters from them, because they sent them two months ago and I have not replied. They are asking for a response on PUE so that the matter can finally be closed.

The reader also added:

There is a postal bank at the office, but it does not work; nothing can be taken care of because the woman who is authorized is currently on leave and has been for three weeks. What is more, there are not even any stamps, because the woman who orders the stamps has also been on leave for three weeks. I wanted to buy 10 priority stamps, and both women looked at me from behind the counters as if I were crazy, because apparently such a large purchase had to be reported in advance.

And added: — After contacting the helpline, I learned that I should report it to the post office manager or file a complaint.

He then concluded: “This is paranoia. I will file a complaint by name on the postal service’s website, and then I will never receive a letter again. The post carriers change every month. Someone has to clean up this mess.”

We asked the company’s press office about the matter. We will publish the response as soon as we receive it.
