Road Transport Inspection inspectors from Wrocław carried out another inspection of heavy goods vehicles on July 11, 2025, at the 156th kilometre of the A4 motorway. A mobile diagnostic line (MLD) was used, allowing the vehicles’ technical condition to be examined in detail.

Wrocław ITD summarises: – All inspected vehicles had serious defects – the registration certificates of every one of them were retained.

The most serious irregularities were found in a vehicle belonging to one of the domestic carriers: – Extensive cracks were found in the longitudinal members securing the cargo box to the vehicle frame, posing a risk of it becoming detached while driving. The defect was classified as dangerous.

Further inspections revealed a faulty braking system, an excessive difference in braking forces, a faulty parking brake, insecurely mounted pneumatic tanks (attached with straps used to secure loads), leaks of operating fluids, damaged lighting and a damaged tyre on the steering axle.

The Inspectorate:

Due to the identified irregularities, the driver was prohibited from continuing to drive until the defects were repaired, and the vehicle was withdrawn from traffic. The driver was issued a fine, while administrative proceedings were initiated against the carrier and the person responsible for managing the transport, which may result in a substantial financial penalty.

And it announces: – Inspections using the MLD are an effective tool in combating dangerous vehicles on the roads – the operations will continue.
