The HOMAR-K system is based on South Korean multiple rocket launchers (K239 Chunmoo), adapted to the needs of the Polish Armed Forces and capable of firing several types of guided rockets.
The launcher is equipped with two rocket pods, which can hold two types of rockets. Depending on the ammunition used, each pod can hold either six guided 239 mm rockets with a range of 80 km or one guided tactical 607 mm rocket with a range of 290 km.
The HOMAR-K, equipped with the Polish ZZKO Topaz fire-control system and mounted on a Jelcz P882.57 TS T45 8×8 truck, is a key element strengthening Polish artillery.
The service Defence24.pl, the largest Polish portal covering the defence industry, armed forces and geopolitics, reported that HOMAR launchers will come to Bolesławiec. Defence24.pl also reported that of the 290 such launchers ordered, 144 are already in Poland and ready for service.
