It has long been known that pigeons have taken a liking to the area around the municipal pond. People feed the birds, so they have plenty of food and there are increasingly more of them there. More than in Bolesławiec’s market square.

A reader contacted us to say that one hot day she wanted to sit on a bench by the pond and rest. Unfortunately, the benches were covered in pigeon droppings, and the high temperature made the stench from the droppings particularly unbearable.

Do municipal services notice the problem of the growing number of pigeons by the municipal pond and the issue of their droppings? Will they clean up the benches around the pond? – the reader asks.

We asked Miejski Zakład Gospodarki Mieszkaniowej w Bolesławcu for comment on the matter. We will publish the response as soon as we receive it.
