Noctilucent clouds are spectacular clouds found highest in the atmosphere – as much as 80 km above the ground! They form from tiny ice crystals and are visible only after dusk or before dawn, when the sun illuminates them from below the horizon.

They are best observed in summer – from June to August, especially in northern regions of Poland. They often appear above the horizon as delicate, rippling bands in shades of silver, blue or gold.

They are not only rare but also incredibly beautiful – a true ornament of the summer sky. If you see them even once, you will remember them for a long time!
