The winners of the competition for the most beautiful Easter arrangements, organized by the Gminny Ośrodek Kultury i Sportu in Bolesławiec, based in Kruszyn, are known. Fifty-seven entries were submitted to the competition, which was decided on April 2. The Easter arrangements were assessed by a jury consisting of: Stanisława Wojda-Pytlińska and Sylwia Recka-Markefka.

In the children’s category, the winners were: Szymon Pasternak from Kruszyn, Paulina Kubica and Szymon Korolski (both from the Primary School in Trzebień), as well as Karol Korycki and Karolina Fila (Primary School in Dąbrowa Bolesławiecka). Honorable mentions went to: Nina Wąsik, Karolina Michalak, Wiktoria Bednarczuk, Aleksandra Kopeć and Natalia Haniszewska (Primary School in Dąbrowa Bolesławiecka).

Among adults, the main prizes went to: Grażyna Łucka from Łaziska and Dorota Dobrzańska from Żeliszów. The honorable mention went to Stanisława Witwicka from Kraśnik Dolny.

That day also saw the decision in the Competition for the Most Interesting Embroidery. First place went to Dorota Chmielewska from Piława Dolna. The second prize was awarded to Stefania Piechowiak from Dzierżoniów, while third place went to Maria Namięta from Żeliszów. The judges (Hanna Nasz from the Ethnographic Museum in Wrocław and Ewa Wróbel from Wrocław’s Agricultural Advisory Center) also honored: Teresa Żurakowska from Bolesławiec, Anna Baj and Maria Scholz from Łaziska, as well as Olga Burdyna from Żeliszów.

The award ceremony was enhanced by a performance by students from the Primary School in Trzebień and the Primary School in Dąbrowa Bolesławiecka.
