During a Friday speed check on the motorway, officers from the Traffic Division of the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters stopped three road speeders.

At around 6:30 p.m., a 44-year-old man from Podkarpackie Voivodeship was checked; he was driving at over 180 km/h. He was returning from work in Germany.

Less than an hour later, a driver from Lower Silesia was caught driving at over 180 km/h. He was taking a child to their grandmother for the holidays.

At 8:00 p.m., a police patrol stopped a vehicle driven at over 200 km/h by a resident of Wielkopolskie Voivodeship. The 36-year-old was returning from Prague after a concert, with his mother as a passenger.

The drivers were fined PLN 2,500 and received 15 penalty points.

Police remind drivers that the speed limit is the maximum speed at which one may travel on a given section of road. Good weather conditions should not lull us into complacency behind the wheel.
