In April, we reported that fuel prices at stations in Bolesławiec had fallen below PLN 6 per litre. Now we are reporting that “cheaper” is over and prices above PLN 6 have once again appeared at stations in the city of ceramics.
On Wednesday, 18 June, at the MOL and Orlen stations on Zgorzelecka Street in Bolesławiec, a litre of 95 petrol cost PLN 6.09, while diesel cost PLN 6.04. The difference in fuel prices between stations in Bolesławiec and stations in neighbouring counties still amounts to as much as several dozen groszy per litre.
Residents of Bolesławiec still have to pay much more than residents of Lubań, Zgorzelec, Jelenia Góra, Lubin or even Wrocław. According to the e-petrol.pl website, the average retail price of 95 petrol is PLN 5.71. Meanwhile, the average retail price of diesel is PLN 5.69 (prices as of 18 June).
The problem of high fuel prices in our city could be solved by a municipal fuel station, which we have written about repeatedly on the istotne.pl website:
There are cities in Poland whose authorities respond to high fuel prices. Effectively
This is how local governments in Poland are fighting high fuel prices. And what about Bolesławiec?
There are ways to make corporations lower fuel prices at their stations
