What is the hazard?
As a result of an official inspection by the State Sanitary Inspection, the migration of lead and cadmium from the rim area of glasses with a floral pattern was detected. GIS: – Based on the opinion of the National Institute of Public Health PZH – National Research Institute, it should be concluded that users of the glasses in question are likely to have ingested lead and cadmium in quantities posing a significant health risk.

What actions have been taken by businesses and official control authorities?
Immediately after receiving the test report, TEDi Sieć Handlowa Sp. z o.o. withdrew all batches of the article with barcode 1989001101 from the sales floor by means of a checkout notification. The checkout notification was sent to all TEDi stores in Poland. The products are currently located in the stores’ warehouses.
A decision was also made to display a “Customer Information” notice on the information board regarding the hazards that the product may cause and the possibility of returning the purchased article. The Customer Information notice will be sent to all TEDi stores and posted on the company’s website.
The State Sanitary Inspection authorities, in cooperation with the Polish distributor, are monitoring the withdrawal process for the questioned product.
