A major surprise for candidates applying to III LO in Bolesławiec.
Oxpress Secondary School (“Copernicus”) – what is happening there?
A surprising offer from III Secondary School.

June is the most important month of the school year for Polish students: it is the time of national examinations and, consequently, the moment when young people make their first important decisions in life. Through its approach to education, III Secondary School named after Mikołaj Kopernik (formerly PLO OXPRESS) differs from other schools. The main idea behind “Copernicus” is to enable children to learn only at school and during lesson hours, rather than through private tutoring.

How do we achieve this?

We are opening three classes: mathematics-and-language, humanities-and-language, and biology-and-chemistry. We start from the following assumptions:

  1. Learning takes place only at school, without private tutoring after classes;
  2. A sense of security and the mental health of young people play an enormous role in the educational process;
  3. It is worth employing the best teachers 😀

How do we achieve our goals?

  1. In each specialized class, we give students 8 hours of mathematics, 8 hours of Polish, 5 hours of English, 5 hours of biology, and 5 hours of chemistry. This is 50% more hours of advanced subjects than in state schools. An additional advantage is the 22-student class size. Teaching effectiveness is maximized under such conditions.
  2. The teachers and principal are there for the students. The staff at “Copernicus” are people who respect others, are understanding, patient, and dedicated; they are educators who know how to listen. We are a small school, and our classes are small, but thanks to this, students are not anonymous. We do not tolerate bullies or criminals.
  3. The best teachers teach at our school: chemistry is taught by Grażyna Ładocha, biology by Karolina Pabisz, Polish by Małgorzata Matyjaszczuk, mathematics by Paweł Kruglik, and history by Dariusz Gołębiewski. We also have a fantastic team of language teachers.

When choosing a secondary school, it is worth checking who teaches there; at “Copernicus” this is no secret. Moreover, our students will gladly tell you what each teacher is like and how they conduct their classes. The basis of the four-year course at “Copernicus” is preparation for the matura examination. Neither a school’s tradition, nor its size, nor the fame of its graduates has anything to do with good education. We know that the foundation consists of teachers who can impart knowledge reliably and passionately, and students who want to learn. That is why we do not participate in the ELECTRONIC RECRUITMENT SYSTEM. During recruitment, you must come to speak with the school counselor or principal. We must know that you are a GOOD PERSON and that you care about learning – not about causing trouble.

We invite you to submit the Candidate’s Personal Questionnaire for Secondary School IN PAPER FORM, together with the certificate of completion of Year 7, to the school office at H. and W. Tyrankiewiczów Street in Bolesławiec. Following a recruitment interview with the candidate (and their parents), and a positive admission decision, the student’s parents/legal guardians sign an education agreement with us. You can go on holiday without worry and not think about the results of the eighth-grade examinations or which school you will be assigned to.

WE INVITE YOU!
