Criminal investigators arrested a man suspected of breaking into a shop and stealing women's handbags, just a few hours after the incident. Bolesławiec police headquarters:
The suspect stole six handbags. Acting under cover of darkness, the perpetrator first smashed the glass in the display window and took some of the loot; three hours later, he returned to the scene of the crime, changed his clothes and covered his face, and took more items.
At the time of his arrest, police officers secured three handbags in the vehicle of the 38-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County, one of which came from the break-in at a shop in the city centre.
Importantly, our local man had previously been arrested – at that time, he was charged with six offences: breaking into a utility room, damaging a vehicle with a baseball bat, making criminal threats, two thefts of cosmetics from drugstores, and physical and verbal aggression towards police officers during an intervention.
Police: – The man also had a conviction for evading his maintenance obligation, which led to his imprisonment; he will spend at least 10 months in a penal institution.
The 38-year-old faces up to 10 years in prison for the offences committed.
