There is still no programme for the August festival, nor is there an idea for its opening. The organizer, BOK–MCC director Kornel Filipowicz, says that conceptual work is underway, but he is unable to specify when it will be completed.
Last year, after the event had been held for 30 years, the city mayor rejected its format. He no longer wants a ceramic parade to open the festival. A team from BOK–MCC, led by Kornel Filipowicz, is working on a new format.
We asked whether, during the 31st BŚC, the ceramic parade would take place in its previous form—that is, with the official handover of the keys to the Ceramic Brotherhood, involving the brotherhood, councillors, city authorities, all interested residents and guests, municipal companies, associations and organizations, with competitions for costumes and a central theme.
Below is the organizer's response dated May 30:
“The parade will not take place in its previous form. BOK–MCC is working on a new format for opening the ceramic festival. Once the conceptual work concerning the programme of the 31st BŚC has been completed, information about the events planned during the festival will be made public.”

There are about two months left until the festival. It is the city's biggest event of the year. Will it be possible to organize it so that it has an appropriate setting and is an attractive and worthwhile event? We are asking you about this in a poll.
