As part of the works, the old concrete slabs—cracked and crumbling—that previously formed the road surface were removed. They were replaced with a new, even road surface that provides a significantly better driving experience. The existing pavements were also reconstructed, new sections of pedestrian routes were built, along with driveway surfaces and street drainage.
New parking spaces in the form of a parking lot were created on the Jana Pawła II Street side. This is intended to solve the previous parking problem and improve passage for larger vehicles.
The street will be open to traffic on Friday from 3:00 p.m.
