A reader informed us that a registered priority letter sent on May 15 at the post office in Nowogrodziec to Bolesławiec was still… on its way to the recipient after five days.
“About three months ago, I had a similar situation,” the reader complains. “A registered priority letter sent from Bolesławiec to Bolesławiec took five days. In response to my complaint, I was told that the delivery time for a priority shipment is only approximate. The question is: who is responsible for such long delivery times? Poczta Polska’s sorting facility in Wrocław, or the post office in Bolesławiec?” the reader asks.
We have written about the work of Poczta Polska in Bolesławiec many times. In one of those articles, we wrote about delays in bills for electricity, water and gas. As a result, residents had to pay interest.
At the beginning of the year, we also quoted the critical assessment of the post office’s work expressed by the mayor during a council session.
“We cannot count on Poczta Polska here. We apologize to everyone, but ladies and gentlemen, we really send invitations to various ceremonies, for example, a month and a half in advance. And people tell me around town that they receive them, for example, two weeks after the event,” said Piotr Roman. “As a result, we will send them even further in advance, but that is not always possible. It is difficult to send something from Bolesławiec to Bolesławiec two months in advance, and once again, it is not always possible to arrange a courier service or deliver the invitation in some other way,” the mayor said during the January session.
Each time, Poczta Polska apologizes to its customers for the problems encountered in delivering correspondence.
