I Liceum Ogólnokształcące named after Władysław Broniewski in Bolesławiec is a highly reputable school that successfully combines tradition with modernity. The school stands out through its comprehensive approach to education, offering students a rich curriculum, intellectual development, as well as comprehensive support for their personal and social development.

Thanks to cooperation with prestigious universities, such as Wrocław University of Science and Technology, Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences and the University of Wrocław, students have the opportunity to participate in classes and workshops that expand their knowledge and practical skills.

At the school, particular emphasis is placed on learning foreign languages – students can choose from English, German, French, Italian and Spanish. In addition, the range of international educational projects, exchanges with Germany and Italy, and the Erasmus+ programme gives students the opportunity to gain experience in an international environment. Such initiatives allow young people not only to develop their language skills but also to broaden their cultural horizons.

I LO in Bolesławiec also places great emphasis on the extracurricular development of its students. The school offers numerous interest groups, such as sports bridge, a tourism club and drama classes. It also supports artistic, sporting and volunteering activities, enabling young people to pursue their passions and acquire new skills.

I LO confirms the high quality of its education in annual independent rankings, but introducing new trends and focusing on integration for a good cause are also hallmarks of “the First”.

For years, the institution has cooperated with Wrocław universities as part of the Lower Silesian Science Festival. Around 1,000 people take part in the local edition of the Festival, while the school organises series of lectures, meetings and workshops for young people and city residents.

Meanwhile, the traditional Green Concert at the Old Theatre is also a recurring event that combines two fundamental student talents: stage talent and a talent for helping others. The charitable aspect of the Green Concert literally saves health and lives and greatly unites the school community around a good cause.

Students could count on exceptional activities just last year. These are only some examples: the participation of the Bolesławiec Film School in workshops and the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia; participation in a scientific conference devoted to the links between Polish and French culture; and the conclusion of the interdisciplinary project “You Praise What Is Foreign, You Do Not Know Your Own” – a trip along the legends of Lower Silesia, guided by the students themselves, who conducted the tour in English.

Thanks to such initiatives, I Liceum Ogólnokształcące in Bolesławiec is a school that not only ensures a high quality of teaching but also actively supports its students’ development in science, culture, ecology and sport. The high quality of education, rich extracurricular offer and international experience make I LO in Bolesławiec a place where students can fully develop their talents, passions and skills while preparing for their future educational and professional paths.
