Sławomir Mentzen of Konfederacja met with voters in Bolesławiec on March 14 (Friday) at 5:00 p.m. Rafał Trzaskowski of Koalicja Obywatelska visited the City of Ceramics almost a month later—on April 12 (Saturday) at 11:00 a.m.

People often argued in the comments beneath reports from the election rallies over who had attracted the larger audience. We always like to provide important and reliable information, so we made a comparison. This was possible thanks to our camera in the Market Square—it recorded both meetings.

Below is a video presenting both meetings at 30 times the normal speed (the recordings normally lasted 70 minutes).

It turns out that Konfederacja candidate Sławomir Mentzen attracted more people. We estimate that there were around 60% more people than at Rafał Trzaskowski’s rally.

Unfortunately, neither candidate wanted to talk to journalists; it was even difficult to ask them about their impressions of their visit to our city. Unfortunately, the election campaign has less and less to do with the possibility of dialogue, which is the essence of democracy. Candidates arrive and merely deliver speeches, sometimes taking pictures of themselves (selfies). Asking them anything is almost impossible. This applies to both Mentzen and Trzaskowski.
