Ticket prices for PKS have increased since 1 April. By around 5%, which in practice means 50 groszy to 1 zloty, depending on the route. As istotne.pl was told by Łukasz Jaźwiec, president of the county-owned company, this was in fact a matter of “bringing prices into line” with the level of inflation.
The president also added that in April, PKS Bolesławiec will put two more buses into service. He stressed that the company is not raising ticket prices in order to make money. PKS is investing all the time: in its fleet, vehicle repairs and maintenance of its facilities. Any surplus funds will therefore primarily support the company’s development and ensure its stable operation.
Will this be the last increase this year? There is a chance, but that will depend, among other things, on the situation on the fuel market.
