As reported by the Dość Chaosu, Czas Na Zmiany:

Despite the numerous difficulties and obstacles we had to face – from unfavourable comments and attacks on the private lives of committee members, through absurd complaints and attempts to discourage residents, to tearing down posters – we succeeded! One of the absurd actions taken against us was even a report to Environmental Protection alleging that trees were being damaged with drawing pins.

We collected the required number of signatures, fulfilled all formal requirements, and the election commissioner confirmed that the application was correct. Now all that remains is to wait for the official date of the referendum to be set.

The profile’s creators:

We wanted to reach all residents of the municipality, so we asked the Municipal Office to provide the contact details of village heads, enabling residents to express their views on the referendum. Ten village heads agreed to cooperate, while the village heads of Zebrzydowa, Milików and Gierałtów refused. Nevertheless, we managed to collect the signatures without their involvement.

We emphasise that rumours about the office and its employees allegedly being involved in collecting signatures are completely untrue. Office employees merely travelled around and gathered information about the possibility of passing the village heads’ contact details on, in order to enable residents to make contact and express their views on the referendum.

And they conclude:

Now all we can do is wait patiently. The decision to hold the referendum will be issued within 30 days of 24 March, which means the decision should be made around Easter.

The most important information of the day: THE REFERENDUM WILL TAKE PLACE! Everything complies with the procedures, the signatures have been verified, and the protocol documenting their counting will reach us within a week.

We thank everyone who became involved in this process – it was your voice and determination that enabled us to achieve this goal!
