Renovation work on the railway route running through Bolesławiec has begun in full swing. The entire track surface is being replaced. The traction network is being modernized—a completely new one will be installed on the Węgliniec–Bielawa section. The train control system is also being upgraded.
Old railway sleepers with rails are being delivered to Bolesławiec East Station. They will only be here temporarily. “If the old sleepers and rails are in good condition, they will be used on other routes; otherwise, they will be disposed of,” says Mirosław Siemienic, press spokesperson for the Regional Branch of Polskie Linie Kolejowe.
