The young vocalists performed on Tuesday, March 8, at the Gallery of Talents of the Młodzieżowy Dom Kultury. During the concert, the audience listened to 17 songs. Participants in the vocal workshops presented songs from the repertoires of, among others, T. Love (“Chłopaki nie płaczą”), Edyta Geppert (“Pytania do księżyca”), Grzegorz Turnau (“Między ciszą a ciszą”), Krystyna Prońko (“Jesteś lekiem na całe zło”), Hanna Banaszak (“W moim magicznym domu”) and Kabaret Starszych Panów (“Herbatka”).

“Our boys’ band Po Prostu Oni performed on stage for the first time,” says Marek Łętowski, head of the MDK. “Until now, the boys had generally avoided vocal workshops. I think we also owe this interest to the large number of fantastic women who attend our classes,” he adds with a smile.

“It is a tradition that we do not give grades at the workshops. We do not force anyone to do anything. Our students have the opportunity to test their skills during concerts. What is more, through their performances, the students of our institution have contact with live music. All of this together creates incredible, positive energy,” continues the MDK director. “These young people are close to music all the time. They mature musically. They sing because they want to sing. And being around people who are willing to do something is a fantastic thing.”

At the end of the concert, the group Po Prostu Oni performed Andrzej Rosiewicz’s major hit “Najwięcej witaminy mają polskie dziewczyny”. The MDK students’ next performance will take place in June.

On the same day, the Poeticon group performed in the conference room of the Bolesławiecki Ośrodek Kultury-Międzynarodowe Centrum Ceramiki. The audience heard songs by artists including Katarzyna Nosowska, Katarzyna Skrzynecka, Robert Janowski, Krystyna Prońko, Wilki, Budka Suflera, Anna Maria Jopek and Mariah Carey.
