At this year’s London Tech, entrepreneurs emphasized how important the opportunity to establish international contacts, acquire customers and exchange technological knowledge is for their businesses.
A Chance for Global Growth
For many companies, participation in London Tech was an opportunity for growth and promotion in foreign markets. Kasper Stasiak from Awakast pointed out how important it is to build relationships at such events.
– Going Global is a tremendous opportunity for us: to showcase our solutions from Lower Silesia on the international stage – said Kasper Stasiak from Awakast. As he added, the trade fair in London enabled them to establish new contacts, while an earlier mission to Dubai had produced similar results, with the company returning with new customers and partners.
Mateusz Tokarski from Giant Lazer, in turn, emphasized that selling educational and training services using VR is difficult without direct contact with the customer.
– It is not easy to sell remotely what we deliver in foreign markets – explained Mateusz Tokarski from Giant Lazer. – Thanks to London Tech, we managed to finalize an agreement that we had been working on for two months.
Establishing new relationships was not the only key issue for the entrepreneurs. Przemysław Sienkiewicz from GreenFields noted that his company already operates in international markets, but mainly thanks to existing customers.
– Thanks to this event, we intend to enter international markets in a more organized manner – said Przemysław Sienkiewicz from GreenFields, emphasizing that the trade fair enabled them to begin their first business discussions.
Knowledge and Innovation in the Spotlight
Trade-fair participants also emphasized that the trip to London was an opportunity to gain knowledge and better understand new technologies.
– For me, it is an opportunity to talk with engineers, not only salespeople – said Rafał Dziwiński from Korbank, who focused on exchanging experiences related to data backup and cybersecurity.
Bartosz Gonczarek from Vastorm, meanwhile, noted that artificial intelligence in business is still developing, while his company focuses on implementing real-world AI-based solutions.
– Supporting what businesses do with the help of an artificial intelligence algorithm is an entirely new field – emphasized Bartosz Gonczarek from Vastorm. As he noted, his company is working on using AI in business in a way that minimizes the risk of errors and so-called algorithm “hallucinations”.
Piotr Krzyżyński from Soft Power drew attention to the growing importance of technology education. The company promotes programming and data analytics education from primary-school level onward.
– We try to inspire young people with a passion for programming and artificial intelligence – said Piotr Krzyżyński from Soft Power, emphasizing how important it is to prepare young people to work with modern technologies.
New Technologies and Digital Solutions
Companies involved in digital transformation and video streaming also presented their solutions at the trade fair. Wojciech Dalętka from Nadaje Broadcasting presented the capabilities of his online broadcasting platform.
– If you wish to organize a webinar for several thousand people, you can stream it to our platform – explained Wojciech Dalętka. His company provides technology for major events, conferences and online television channels, enabling professional broadcasts on a large scale.
Going Global: Investing in the Future
Lower Silesian entrepreneurs emphasized that the Going Global programme provides real support for their international expansion, helping not only with organizing trips but also with building long-term business relationships.
Many of them stressed that participating in such events is not only an opportunity to acquire new customers, but also a chance for development, knowledge exchange and cooperation with other companies from the region.
The London Tech trade fair once again demonstrated that Lower Silesian companies have the potential to compete in global markets, and that support for initiatives such as Going Global is crucial to building their international standing.
The project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund under the European Funds for Lower Silesia 2021–2027 and by the funds of the Self-Government of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship under the project entitled “Going Global 4.0 – Internationalization of Lower Silesian Enterprises”
