The main objective of the Programme is to increase the chances of people with disabilities to lead a more independent, self-reliant and active life. The costs of the personal assistant service for a person with a disability are financed by the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy from the Solidarity Fund, and the person using this form of support incurs no costs related to it.
The Programme provides support in performing everyday activities and functioning in social life to 25 people with significant disabilities from Bolesławiec County.
Personal assistance services consist in particular of the assistant’s help with:
- the participant’s performance of everyday activities,
- going out, returning or travelling with the participant to places selected by the participant,
- handling official matters by the participant,
- the participant’s use of cultural resources (e.g. a museum, theatre, cinema, art gallery or exhibition).
