The firefighters of the District Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Jawor decided to demonstrate what an emergency corridor should look like, while also reminding everyone:

This procedure is crucial in life-threatening situations—every second can determine the fate of those affected.

How should an emergency corridor be created correctly?

  • On a two-lane road, drivers in the left lane move to the left, while drivers in the right lane move to the right.
  • On a three-lane road, drivers in the left lane move to the left, while drivers in the middle and right lanes move to the right.
  • Stopping in a traffic lane or blocking the passage of emergency services is an offence!

Let us remember—an emergency corridor should be created as soon as a traffic jam appears, not only when emergency vehicles signal their approach! We thank drivers for their exemplary conduct and appeal to everyone to follow this rule whenever congestion forms on the road.
