The accident was reported by the eluban.pl website. The 72-year-old was crossing the tracks in an unauthorized location. Seeing this, the driver used a sound signal to warn the pedestrian.

When he heard the signal of the approaching rail trolley, he probably tripped and fell directly onto the tracks.
Unfortunately, the vehicle could not be stopped in time, and the 72-year-old ended up beneath the rail trolley. The man suffered a serious leg injury and was taken to hospital.
Firefighters from Olszyna, Lubań and Radostów, as well as a medical rescue team, took part in the rescue operation, which lasted several dozen minutes. Police were also at the scene and are determining the exact circumstances of the incident.
Train traffic on the Gryfów–Lubań route was suspended. Passengers travelling on this route should expect delays.
