Officers from the Police Station in Kruszyn arrested a man in the act of driving a car despite a court-imposed driving ban. – The 31-year-old is known to the local Police, among other things, for offenses against property – explains junior inspector Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, press officer for the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters. – After arresting the suspect, the officers searched the vehicle and the garage used by the resident of Warta Bolesławiecka municipality.
In the building, the officers secured items originating from a break-in at one of the companies located in a nearby economic zone. The police recovered a specialized pump, a sensor and containers of machine oil. The lamp and camera that the perpetrator had installed above the garage entrance as a dummy security system had also been stolen.
Further findings confirmed that the secured items had been stolen just a dozen or so hours earlier. – This was not, however, the 31-year-old’s only criminal visit to the same company – the spokeswoman emphasizes. – Within five days, the suspect committed three offenses against the company, each time arriving at the scene of the crime by car, disregarding the court-imposed driving ban.
The man was charged with seven offenses. As he is a repeat offender, he now faces up to fifteen years in prison.
