Zgorzelec detectives, as a result of operational work, identified and detained a man suspected of breaking into parcel locker compartments in the town and municipality of Zgorzelec, the municipality of Sulików and Bolesławiec County. – The 37-year-old opened the compartments and took everything of value – reports Superintendent Agnieszka Goguł, press officer for the Commander of the County Police Headquarters in Zgorzelec.
She adds: – Fortunately, most of them were empty. However, he managed to steal, among other things, a dress, a phone and cameras.
The total losses caused by the man's actions were estimated at more than 10,000 złoty.
The 37-year-old was charged with 12 counts and pleaded guilty. Officers managed to recover some of the stolen property.
The suspect faces up to 10 years in prison.
