It was not just one resident of Osiecznica who received a message about a loved one’s accident and money for bail.
On February 8, at around 9 p.m., a husband was called and told that someone close to him had knocked down a pregnant woman on a crosswalk and that she had miscarried. They demanded PLN 160,000 for bail and also asked about gold.
Beware of scammers!
