I am writing to you about Termy in Bolesławiec. Today I discovered a certain practice that will certainly interest you, namely a change in the authorities’ approach to holders of the Bolesławiec Resident Card: until 13 January 2025, when purchasing a monthly gym pass, a holder of that card paid PLN 120, while from 13 January everyone pays the same price: PLN 130.
The man added: – This is not about the PLN 10 price increase, but about the lack of a discount on monthly gym passes for BKM holders, that is, people who settle their income tax at the Bolesławiec Tax Office and therefore in reality contribute to the city budget, while TERMY itself is ultimately a facility managed by MOSIR, which is subordinate to Bolesławiec City Hall.
He also noted: – In this situation, city residents are treated the same as visitors who do not settle their taxes locally, while every year all cities in Poland encourage people to do so in their municipalities in order to increase the city budget. Could it be that the Bolesławiec authorities have too much money?
We asked MOSiR Bolesławiec about the matter. Director Paweł Dul:
Thank you for submitting (...) your comment concerning the change in the rules for using discounts by holders of Bolesławiec Resident Cards (BKM). We would like to assure you that we have considered the issue you raised.
We would like to inform you that we view your suggestion positively and will restore preferential prices for BKM holders in the near future. Details will be provided shortly.
