As we reported in the article Apocalyptic fires in LA. A Polish woman rescued Bolesławiec ceramics from the ruins…, Rita Ciołek found a Bolesławiec cup in the ruins of her home in Los Angeles. It had been a gift from her late mother.
The TVN report was seen, among others, by the president of Zakłady Ceramiczne „Bolesławiec” Arkadiusz Grzesikowski, who immediately recognized his company’s product. It was quickly established which set the cup in question came from.
The president contacted Ms. Rita, announcing that he would send her the set. The goal? To recreate a family keepsake and, in doing so, offer encouragement to the woman who lost her home in the fire.
