As summarized by the firefighters from Nowogrodziec:

Last year, we took part in 216 rescue and firefighting operations. This was the second-highest number of interventions among all volunteer fire departments in Bolesławiec County.

Including:

  • Fires – 84
  • Local hazards – 123
  • False alarms – 9.

Including outside the county: twice (Lubań County).

During these operations, we provided qualified first aid 18 times.

The uniformed officers emphasize:

We maintained 100% turnout for call-outs, which means that at least one of our vehicles went out to respond to every alarm.

Most active firefighters:

  1. Kamil Malinowski – 153
  2. Rafał Fajkowski – 119
  3. Kamil Krzyśko – 103
  4. Patryk Turbak – 82
  5. Henryk Depka – 70
  6. Grzegorz Wilk – 68.

OSP Nowogrodziec adds: – A success for our unit was the purchase of a Volkswagen T5 light vehicle intended for logistical and quartermaster duties. It will support our rescue and firefighting activities, daily duties and work with young people. We also obtained two grants worth a total of PLN 52,000, whose implementation will take place in 2025.

The most important and largest operations

  • restoring vital functions to a 2-year-old child
  • maintaining vital functions after carbon monoxide poisoning
  • a fire at a hall in Gromadka
  • a house fire in Nowogrodziec
  • a house fire in Nowa Wieś
  • around 40 interventions during the September Flood.

The unit sums up:

During rescue and firefighting operations, none of our firefighters was injured. Let us hope that this year we will also remain safe.

Our fellow firefighter Czesław Depka has passed away.

We thank all our supporters, sponsors and donors. We encourage you to donate 1.5% of your tax to our volunteer fire department so that all the activities we undertake can be carried out even more efficiently and safely.
